Scope of Services
Built in the 1960's, this landmark Mies van der Rohe curtainwall apartment building required extensive parking deck concrete repairs. ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. was engaged to evaluate the condition of the outside garage concrete deck. This work was followed by the preparation of repair documents, bid solicitation and construction administration services. ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. also performed a feasibility study to enclose the ground level outdoor pool. The feasibility study for the pool included the preparation of several preliminary design sketch schemes and the preparation of cost estimates. Ultimately, the pool and its deck were restored.
ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. was again called upon by the Association to provide professional services for various miscellaneous concrete deteriorations throughout the garage and lower levels of the building. Services included the preparation of repair documents, bid solicitation and construction administration services.
