Scope of Services

Built in the 1920's, this landmark Lincoln Park apartment building experienced falling limestone at the front entrance raising concern to the Association.  ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. was called upon to determine the cause(s) of the stone failure, prepare the necessary repair documents and provide construction administration services during the course of the work.  In conjunction with the stone repairs, selected windows were replaced on various elevations throughout the building. 

 

In 1990, ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. was involved in the cladding of the upper floors to reduce water infiltration through masonry which was extremely porous.  This project was followed by the replacement of all roofs on the building and the exterior painting of all rear facades. 

 

Each project included the preparation of repair drawings and specifications, bid solicitations, evaluation of bids received and recommendations for contract award.  Construction administration included close-up inspections at each scaffold drop.
