Scope of Services
The Waveland Court Condominium Association contacted Alexander & Associates, Ltd. after struggling to complete a joint project with their neighboring condominium association. The concrete stairs and balconies were in a deteriorated state and needed to be repaired quickly. Waveland Courts replaced the sixteen (16) cantilevered concrete balconies and repaired the concrete stairways and stair landings. Because the masonry walls were older, cantilevering the new balconies was not an option. Each balcony was to be supported by metal beams and posts. The original stair and balcony railings did not meet Current Code and was unattractive, so they were not reused. Maintenance free aluminum railings were installed on all balconies and less costly steel railings were installed on the stairways, giving the building a much needed updated look.
