Scope of Services
ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. was first contacted by Roscoe, L.P. in 2000 to prepare construction drawings and specifications for masonry tuckpointing, brick replacement, limestone replacement and steel lintel repair and replacement. Since then, ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD has conducted several City of Chicago On-going and Critical Inspections.
In the fall of 2008 while completing a Critical Inspection, ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD discovered that several corners of the building had deteriorated to an unsafe level. ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD was hired in the spring of 2009 to prepare construction drawings and specifications to rebuild and repair the damaged corners. It was ultimately decided that the introduction of expansion joints at the corners of the building would allow the necessary movement to prevent future cracking.
During both projects, ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD assisted the owner in the process of the solicitation of bids , reviewing of bids and the selection of the contractor. ALEXANDER& ASSOCIATES, LTD performed construction administration services to assure that the work was carried out according to the Contract Documents.
