Scope of Services
Originally built in 1912, this Chicago landmark was completely renovated in 1990-1993 with the exception of the main dining room, kitchens and ancillary food service areas. During the preparation of a 20 Year Capital Reserve Study, the Congregation decided to engage ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. to prepare preliminary design drawings for all of the food service areas throughout the building. Included in the work was the re-design of the entrance to the main dining room from the elevator. The entry experience previously had been via very narrow hallways - completely unacceptable as an entrance to an important space. Service included the preparation of detailed preliminary design floor plans showing all kitchen equipment items. The transportation of food and beverage to other parts of the facility was also studied and recommendations were included in the preliminary design. Preliminary bids were solicited to perform the work and presentations were made to senior church officials. The project is currently awaiting fund raising for completion.
