Scope of Services
This project represents a first in terms of financing between HUD and the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). Services included architectural and structural engineering. HVAC, civil and electrical engineering were design-build. Work included preliminary design, construction documents and construction administration phase services. ALEXANDER & ASSOCIATES, LTD. worked closely with the client to secure all required zoning variations for the property. The new facility exemplifies the latest current trends in independent senior housing. Apartments comply with both federal and State accessibility standards and include large living areas with full kitchens. Complete meal service is available in the ground floor Community Room overlooking a landscaped patio. A full-time property manager resides on the premises. Apartment mix includes 64 1-Bedroom units and 33 2-Bedroom units. All apartments have outside balconies.
